Reggie
Reggie was brought to the shelter by a good Samaritan who found him on her property, most likely dumped. He has scars around his neck and on his head. It is possible that someone tried to use him as a ‘bait’ dog for a fighting ring. A short time with Reggie would prove he is not a fighter. He was a little bashful when he first arrived. He quickly learned that he was in a safe place. He became quite the character, keeping everyone amused with his quirky personality. He even took up painting for a while and loved going for random car rides! However, our little man Reggie developed a naughty habit of nipping, he especially liked any parts that stood out or clothing that flowed. Unfortunately, that was a trait that was not appealing to adopters, no matter how cute that face was. He just did not want to give up his nipping, never biting, just naughty nipping. After several potential adopters had visited Reg, and passed him up for adoption, just the right match showed up. They loved Reggie and were willing to work with him. He was adopted by this family. We have reports that he has almost given up his habit, with only an occasional set back! His manners have improved so much, he earned himself a camping trip and a trip to the beach. He has been back a couple of times to visit. Sometimes, he just sends donations for his furry friends back at the shelter. He has became a cuddler and is loving and being loved by an amazing family, all because they were willing to be patient and give Reggie what he needed to have an awesome life...It just takes one match~the right one.
