Casey
Casey came to the shelter as a stray. He was diagnosed with mange. He was dripping blood from his chest onto the kennel floor. In addition to mange, he developed a secondary infection which was resistant to the antibiotics he was given. His condition worsened. With the frustration of trying to heal him, he was taken to a second veterinarian for a fresh look. It was a great relief when we could see the medication begin to do its job! He continued to improve on a daily basis. Through it all, Casey’s demeanor never changed. He was always a loving, sweet doggy. When Casey was healed, he was adopted by a friend and supporter of the ODCHS. He is now living in a loving home. He even has a furry sister and a big yard where he loves to run, play, and chase squirrels. Just as it should be...
