Ceeby (CB)
It was a teeny, tiny ball of fuzzy fur~just a wisp of life. She was found by a young man, all alone, in tall grass, with no one else around. How she got there, or where she came from was a mystery. And to add, it was in July, during the peak of summer heat. It looked as if she had been possibly ‘attacked’ by some other dog/cat/something. She was hanging on to life with her own sheer will. After getting her into caring hands, it was literally just a matter of hours, not days, when she popped up and told the world that she was a survivor! She was dehydrated, malnourished, and her right eye had been severely damaged. After treating her immediate needs, it was determined that her eye would need to be removed when she was a little older. She would need to stay at the shelter for a while to gain strength. Her recovery room was the front crate at the shelter. It was rare that a volunteer would pass her and not stop to pet her. Missing an eye did not keep her from being everything a kitten should be, to include super cute! She became a bit of an icon during her time at ODCHS. At times, some still glance over thinking Ceeby will be there. Luckily, she is not. She was adopted by an ODCHS supporter. We are grateful to adopters who do not pass over the pets with physical differences, because they are just that~simply differences. Since leaving the shelter, her eye has been removed with no problems. She is living an awesome life in a loving home. **She recently came to visit. She has grown into a beautiful young cat! Her mom shared how she loves to chase her furry sister down the hall, loves to lap-sit, and even plays fetch! As a very small kitten, Ceeby, now Zoe, survived abandonment, being roughed-up, and summer heat. She must have known this life and this family would be looking for her! Live large little girl...
