Maverick was at the local kill animal shelter. He was an owner turn-in. It is hard to imagine his condition was allowed to get so severe. He was taken straight to the veterinarian for care. He was there a couple of days before coming ‘home’ to the shelter. In the beginning he had no doggy social skills. He wanted, understandably, to be wild. He also started learning to play with toys. He pretty much figured out how to ‘be a dog’. He made amazing progress. Just at the end of his treatment, he found his match! His adopter decided to take him home and finish out his treatments. Maverick is now a shotgun rider with his truck-driving mom. We receive updates from their travels from all across the U.S. We could not be happier that these two found each other...
