Hundreds of dogs and cats have been given a second chance to have a loving home through the Ozark-Dale County Humane Society. There are many different reasons they end up in a shelter. Most are strays/abandoned. Some are victims of abuse. Whatever brought them to the shelter, once there, they are given love and their health care needs are met. All are spayed/neutered. Some have physical wounds that are obvious. Others have scars that do not show. Whatever their issue, these pets are resilient and forgiving.
These stories share the road to adoption for some of these pets. It is a labor of love to help these deserving pets find their way into homes with families who provide them with love and kindness. And in return, the adopters receive the same.
The shelter does not exist without supporters. It is a team effort and ODCHS is grateful for donors who make it possible to continue this mission.
